Why Apple's automatic pricing doesn't work

Apple converts your price using exchange rates. But exchange rates aren't purchasing power.

Exchange rates ≠ affordability

Currency conversion doesn't reflect real purchasing power. The same dollar amount represents very different value in different economies.

Lost conversions globally

Users worldwide want your app, but a one-size-fits-all price doesn't work everywhere. You're missing out on millions of potential customers.

Suboptimal pricing everywhere

Some markets can support higher prices, others need lower ones. Apple's exchange-rate pricing doesn't account for local economic realities.

175 territories, zero strategy

Manually adjusting prices for every country is tedious. So most developers don't. They pick a US price and let Apple's formula handle the rest.

PriceKit uses Purchasing Power Parity data to calculate what users in each country can actually afford — then pushes optimized prices to all 175 App Store territories in one click.

Frequently asked questions

What is Purchasing Power Parity (PPP)?

PPP measures how much money is needed in different countries to buy the same goods. $10 in the US has very different purchasing power than $10 converted to Indian Rupees. PriceKit uses World Bank PPP data to calculate prices that feel equivalent to local users.

Will this affect my existing subscribers?

No. Apple preserves existing subscription prices for current subscribers. New regional prices only apply to new purchases. Existing subscribers keep their original price until they cancel and resubscribe.

How does PriceKit connect to App Store Connect?

You create an API key in App Store Connect (Users and Access → Keys) and provide the credentials to PriceKit. We use Apple's official App Store Connect API to read your apps and update prices. Your credentials are encrypted and never shared.

Can I request a refund?

Yes. If PriceKit doesn't work for your use case, email us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked.

Is this a subscription?

No. PriceKit is a one-time purchase. Pay once, use forever. Unlimited apps, unlimited price updates, no recurring fees.

What currencies and countries are supported?

PriceKit supports all 175 App Store territories and their local currencies. We calculate optimized prices for every market Apple supports.

Stop leaving money on the table

Every day you wait, you're losing conversions in emerging markets and undercharging in wealthy countries.
